Accounts Semi Senior / Senior
We are working with an established independent accountancy practice in Bawtry that is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior or Senior to join its team. The firm works closely with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing accounts, tax and wider business support services. With a personal approach to client relationships, the practice offers a friendly and professional working environment.
This opportunity could suit an experienced Semi Senior looking to take the next step or an established Senior seeking a position with greater client contact and responsibility. The role can be tailored to the experience of the successful candidate, with the opportunity to manage assignments independently and work closely with the firm’s senior team.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing yearend accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Producing corporation tax computations and supporting tax compliance work.
- Preparing management accounts and providing financial information to clients.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, with responsibility increasing according to experience.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, dealing with queries and providing practical accounting support.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns where required.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and ensure deadlines are met.
- Supporting junior colleagues and reviewing their work where appropriate.
- Working closely with senior colleagues on more complex accounts and client matters.
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £30,000 – £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
