Accounting Manager
A leading accountancy practice is seeking a qualified ACCA/ACA Accountant to join its growing Business Services team. This role offers genuine career progression and the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
The Role:
The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory financial statements. You’ll supervise a small team, review technical work, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review client portfolios across varied sectors
- Oversee management accounts, VAT, and statutory reporting
- Provide technical guidance and identify process improvements
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support ad hoc projects and departmental initiatives
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experience managing clients within an accounting firm (independent or national)
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Proficient in Xero and Dext; experience with Sage, QuickBooks, and CaseWare beneficial
- Organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing deadlines
