Financial Controller

Our construction sector client is seeking a financial controller to support the finance director.

As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and supervising day-to-day financial operations
Preparation and analysis of financial statements
Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes
Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls
Collaborating with department heads to analyze and optimize project financials
Monitoring cash flow and working capital
Conducting financial audits and preparing reports for the FD
Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensuring compliance

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the construction sector
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Experience in the construction industry is preferred
