IPS Finance are handling a Finance Assistant vacancy for a leisure centre based near Northallerton.

Our client is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring visibility and accessibility of the finance team to all operational teams.

This role will report directly to the Financial Director and provide the candidate with the opportunity to gain diverse commercial experience of the business’s operations.

Main Responsibilities

Posting daily takings from retail software to Xero.
Collating and posting purchase invoices to Xero.
Raising sales invoices and matching corresponding payments.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Conducting daily bank and cash account reconciliations.
Collating payment run information.
Maintaining petty cash records.
Processing and counting all cash from the site.

Desirable

Experience using Xero accounting software.
Proficiency in using Google Mail and Drive.
AAT qualification.
