Assistant Management Accountant
The Assistant Management Accountant will join an established finance team and support the delivery of accurate and timely management information. This is a varied position providing exposure to month-end accounts, balance sheet work, cash flow and transactional finance, with the opportunity to develop broader management accounting experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the month end management accounts process.
- Prepare accruals and prepayments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
- Prepare and post journals where required.
- Produce supporting schedules and working papers for the management accounts.
- Provide support across purchase and sales ledger when required.
- Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance role.
- Good Excel skills and general confidence working with finance systems.
- Experience maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Able to prioritise workload effectively around month-end deadlines.
- Comfortable working across different areas of a finance function.
- Previous exposure to management accounts would be advantageous.
- Suitable for an accounts professional looking to broaden their management accounting experience.
