Tax Manager

You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, providing both compliance and advisory services to individuals, directors, business owners and high-net-worth clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients from start to finish.
- Reviewing and preparing self-assessment tax returns.
- Providing advice on personal tax planning opportunities.
- Supporting clients with capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other personal tax matters.
- Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value-added tax services.
- Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance.
About You The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working within personal tax in an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
- ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification (or qualified by experience).
- Experience managing a client portfolio.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
