Management Accountant

We are supporting a Leeds city centre based listed technology business which has an international reach. Reporting to the Financial Controller we are looking for a high calibre and ambitious individual who will be joining a high performing team. This role could be an ideal first move from practice or the next career step for a finalist/recently qualified accountant in industry.

You will be working closely with colleague in the UK and US to;

• Prepare and take ownership of operating expenditure for the largest division within the company.
• Ensuring transactions are recorded in line with applicable accounting standards and policies.
• Ownership and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provision of articulate commentary to explain movements and trends.
• Supporting with Group Reporting and the preparation of financial reporting packs.
• Assistance with annual statutory audit, coordinating with external auditors to allow
• for timely completion in accordance with internal and external deadlines.
• Supporting with budgeting and forecasting as required.
• Proactive input into project work, including identifying and implementing improvements to existing systems, policies and procedures.

What we are looking for;

• Strong accounting skillset (ideally ACCA/ACA qualified or similar), and previous experience of either audit, preparing statutory accounts or management accounting.
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment with a high performing team.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Adaptable and a strong team player.
• Commercial acumen and a good eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance functions.
