Financial Controller

Salary:
£45000 - £55000 per annum

We are supporting a manufacturing SME based in York as they look to appoint a Financial Controller to support the business through continued growth.

You will benefit from the support of an experienced part time Finance Director, whilst you work to establish processes and improve upon the level of detail provided in management infomation in this growing and highly profitable business.

Main duties of the role:

Supervising the completion of month-end accounts, including schedules, reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals/prepayments as necessary.
Delivering weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to the Directors, collaborating closely with the management team, to ensure accurate income predictions.
Assisting the Finance Director in strategic decisions and providing the Directors with agreed-upon financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Assisting in monthly reporting on KPIs, conducting appropriate trend and variance analyses.
Preparing for the upcoming annual audit once the criteria are met.
Dealing with external stakeholders including bank, accountants and insurance
Collaborating with the Senior Management team to establish effective financial systems and processes.
Supervising and mentoring junior members of the accounts team

Ideal Candidate:

Commercially minded, dynamic and engaging individual
Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part qualified with the intention to qualify
They will soon pass the audit threshold and experience working in a similar role in an audited business would be an advantage.
A background in manufacturing would be a great advantage

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
