Bookkeeper

£25000 - £30000 per annum

Fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join a growing firm based in Brighouse.
This independent firm offer a variety of services to their wide range of clients, from audit, accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll.

You will be joining the bookkeeping department, which currently has 5 staff, and you will support with bookkeeping duties and VAT returns, with ad hoc assistance with accounts preparation when needed.

Requirements of the role:

Experienced in the use of Sage, QuickBooks, and/or Xero would be beneficial.
Able to process transactions into accountancy software accurately and efficiently.
Competent user of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Experience in preparing bank reconciliations and control accounts.
Experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns with knowledge of VAT Regulations and MTD.
To actively support and co-operate with other members of the team.
Able to work to deadlines and handle several tasks at once, independently prioritising workflow.
Excellent organisational skills.
Confident, motivated and with strong communication skills both verbal and written.

To be considered you should have at least 3 years of UK bookkeeping experience from an accountancy practice, or from a similar role in industry. Suitable for AAT qualified candidates or qualified by experience.
