Company Accountant
A well-established SME in East Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced and dependable Bookkeeper to take day-to-day ownership of the finance function.
Working closely with the Managing Director, this is a varied and hands-on role that would suit a confident QBE with solid all-round experience in SME finance. You’ll be supported by two accounts assistants and take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth running of all finance operations.
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reports for the directors
- Managing and supporting two accounts staff across purchase and sales ledger
- Handling VAT, payroll and HMRC submissions
- Liaising with external accountants for year-end processes
- Monitoring cashflow and preparing weekly updates
- Maintaining the Xero accounting system and suggesting improvements where relevant
- Providing financial insight to help inform business decisions
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
