Semi Senior Accountant
A well-established independent accountancy firm based in Finningley, Doncaster, serving a diverse client base across multiple sectors is looking to hire a semi senior accountant.
The role will take ownership of preparing client accounts with minimal guidance. This is a role suited to someone approaching senior level who is keen to broaden their experience and develop towards a senior role within practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare limited company accounts for review with minimal input
- Assist with personal tax and management accounts preparation
- Support audit work (training provided; typically, 4 audits across a 2–3 month period each year)
- Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure timely reporting
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to professional standards
Skills & Experience
- ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or part-qualified (Study support can be provided)
- Experience preparing accounts for limited companies
- Exposure to personal tax and management accounts advantageous
- Confidence to work independently, taking responsibility for own client work
- Interest in learning audit procedures is desirable but not essential
Working Arrangements
- Flexible working available: 1–2 days per week from home possible
- Supportive team environment with scope to progress towards senior level
Salary: £33,000 – £38,000
