Sales Ledger Clerk

We are currently seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our client, a multinational manufacturing business based in Pudsey.

As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the finance team in managing customer accounts and maintaining accurate financial records. You will be responsible for processing sales invoices, recording payments, and managing credit control for our diverse customer base.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who has a passion for finance and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Process sales invoices accurately and timely
Allocate customer payments to appropriate accounts
Conduct credit checks and ensure credit limits are maintained
Respond to customer queries and resolve disputes in a timely and professional manner
Manage customer statements and collections, chasing payments where necessary
Work with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of sales ledger accounts
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and reconciliations

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
