Finance Business Partner

A commercially minded Finance Business Partner is sought to join an established finance services business.

This will be a predominantly remote position with occasional (monthly) travel to offices across the North of England.

The focus of the role is to support the business in its commercial activities and help to deliver a platform for profitable growth across the business by ensuring they have the appropriate data and insight to make decisions and respond to trends quickly.

Main duties will include:

Lead annual budget planning collaborating with key stakeholders
Planning throughout the year, collaborating with stakeholders to understand variances in performance and expenses vs. original budget and forecasting year end position
Flash reporting highlighting reasons for variances in performance vs. budget
Monitor operating expenses to ensure within budget, ensuring accurately allocated and appropriate accruals in place where necessary
Provide commercial support on strategy
Weekly trend analysis of key trading metrics across all businesses
Oversee the financial reporting for the business including periodic and Ad hoc reporting both internally and externally.
Ensuring financial compliance with internal company policies and procedures including Sox and KIP reporting, as well as external agencies such as FCA and Auditors relating to the financial management of the business.

The ideal candidate:

ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified
Previous experience working in the insurance industry, with in-depth understanding of broking business model and insurance accounting.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
