Audit & Accounts Manager

We are supporting a 10 partner, multi office-chartered accounting firm in their search for an audit and accounts manager.

This is an opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals that provide a comprehensive rangeof financial services to clients across various industries.

You will be involved in delivery of timely statutory accounts work, and completion of audit and tax compliance assignments for the firms’ various clients.

Reporting directly to the partners, you will be responsible for leading audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities and experience sought:

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on accounting and auditing matters.
• Experience of SME private company audits and statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102
• Foster strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and addressing client concerns.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in leading audit engagements within a chartered accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and mentor junior staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
