Accounts Payable Assistant
If you’re looking to build a career in finance and want to join a busy, supportive team where you can develop your skills, this could be an excellent opportunity. We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a well-established business in Witney, working closely with the wider finance team to ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and on time.
This role would suit someone who already has some accounts payable or transactional finance experience and is keen to continue developing their career within a professional office environment. You’ll be responsible for processing a high volume of supplier invoices, checking approvals and supporting documentation, managing invoice workflows, responding to supplier queries, assisting with payment runs and reconciliations, and helping maintain accurate financial records and controls.
You’ll need strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are equally important, as you’ll be liaising with suppliers and colleagues across the business. Experience using finance systems and good Excel skills would be beneficial, but just as important is a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine interest in developing within a finance function.
This is a full-time, office-based position in Witney, Monday to Friday, so it’s likely to suit candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance. On-site parking is available.
