Assistant Accountant

The Assistant Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, supporting the business through accurate financial reporting,
Maintenance of controls, and the provision of financial insight. This role extends beyond routine accounting, offering the opportunity to assist with budgeting, audit preparation, and commercial discussions with internal teams and clients. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring financial integrity while contributing to efficient processes and informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper transaction documentation - Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in budgeting, expense monitoring, and month-end/year-end close processes
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
- Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments on financial matters
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000
