Management Accountant

A commercially focused management accountant is sought for our client, a leading manufacturing group based in Thirsk.

The Management Accountant will provide insight for senior business stakeholders into profirability by customer, and by product line. Whilst also supporting the Head of Finance in managing a transactional finance team and ensuring accuracy of data.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a commercially focused role within a private equity backed business which we feel will suit an accountant with a commercial outlook and strong prior variance analysis experience.

This role will be full time office based in Thirsk, with an early finish (2pm) on a Friday.

Main duties of the role:

• Cost analysis of current and new projects across multiple UK limited companies
• Production of cashflow projections
• Support with the budget/forecast processes, leading the collection and analysis of data
• Analysis of margins and revenue by customer and product
• Analyse and help to understand the business performance – monthly variance analysis etc.
• Assist the Head of UK Finances with business-as-usual finance tasks – help with the finance team produce the monthly accounts and balance sheets reconciliation.
• Mentoring junior members of the team

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + 25 days holiday & Enhanced pension contribution

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience.
• ERP Systems experience
• Strong Excel user
