    Study Tips!

As we are on the lead-up to the end of the year, I know many people have exams to sit before we can start thinking about Christmas! Below are some study tips to help you power through the last few months before a well-deserved break!

Set a Schedule: Establish a schedule that suits your routine and stick to it! This will enable you to plan your time effectively and ensure that all topics are covered before the exam.

Organise Your Space: Keep your study space organised, with all necessary materials within easy reach. If you need to keep leaving the room to grab supplies, you will waste valuable study time.

Active Learning: Instead of passively reading, answer practice questions to continually extract the information from your knowledge so you feel confident answering all questions.

Clear Goals: Set specific study goals for each session, such as completing a certain number of pages or finishing a particular topic.

Prioritise Challenges: Start your study sessions with the most challenging subjects, otherwise you will keep avoiding these until it’s too late!

Diverse Resources: Don’t rely on one textbook or source. Use a variety of materials, including textbooks, online resources, videos, and past papers.

Take Breaks: Avoid studying for extended periods without breaks, as it can lead to burnout and reduced productivity. Setting clear goals as mentioned above will ensure you hit your targets efficiently, so you can have more time for other things!

Minimise Distractions: Turn off notifications on your devices and find a quiet, distraction free place to study! This can be tricky when living with other people or caring for children but try to communicate your study needs to friends and family so they can help you reach your academic goals!
