We are working with a Batley based construction company seeking a semi qualified / qualified accountant to take on a varied role within the finance function of the business, acting as assistant to the finance director this is an opportunity for a company accountant to gain increased exposure to the production of management accounts and associated reporting for a group of companies whilst working within a finance team of 4.

Main duties of the role are:

  • Bookkeeping for group of companies
  • Monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of profit and loss reports.
  • Preparation of year end accounts.
  • Maintain the purchase ledger
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Weekly payroll
  • Ad hoc finance duties
  • Management of more junior accounting staffs workload

Applicant are expected to be at least AAT level 4 qualified as well as proficient in the use of excel, additional study support may be provided for CIMA/ACCA studiers in the way of expense covering however you will be expected to study in your own time.

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000
